Let's dive into the world of airdrops with a remarkable new feature: Wormhole and its HOLE token, in competition with LayerZero, have caught the eye. This platform could potentially pull off an airdrop as attractive as LayerZero's, attracting interest thanks to its limited user base.
In this guide, you'll explore the conditions for taking part, but first, let's delve into the world of Wormhole.
Wormhole, created in 2021 by Wormhole Labs, facilitates the transfer of digital assets between various blockchains. Based on Solana blockchain technology, this bridge enables the transfer of various assets:
ERC-20 tokens: Wormhole facilitates the transfer of Ethereum ERC-20 tokens to other blockchains such as Solana, Avalanche, Terra and Binance Smart Chain.
NFTs: Wormhole also enables EThereum NFTs and EVM blockchains to be migrated to Solana and other networks.
DeFi: DeFi assets such as stablecoins, LP tokens and yield farming tokens can be transferred between Ethereum and Solana using Wormhole.
Security: The link between blockchains is guaranteed by a Proof of Stake (PoS) mechanism.
Efficiency: Asset transfers via Wormhole are fast and cost-effective.
Interoperability: Users can move digital assets between different blockchains.
Under development: Wormhole is still in the development phase and is not yet deployed on all blockchains.
Complexity: Wormhole's configuration can be complex for beginners and developers.
To participate in the Wormhole HOLE token airdrop, the first step is to have one or more wallets compatible with the networks supported by Wormhole that you would like to use:
Solana: Phantom, Solfare
Aptos: Sui Wallet
EVM (Ethereum) compatible wallet: Metamask, Trust wallet, coinbase wallet
Unfortunately, we can't go into detail about the features required to obtain the airdrop, as that would be too easy...
So the aim will be to achieve maximum volume (the accumulation of value used by each transfer) as well as the number of transactions.
The aim is to transfer tokens between various blockchains.
Start by accessing the Portal Bridge platform and connecting your wallet, depending on the networks involved in your exchanges.

Select the network of origin in "Select network" and enter the token in "asset" as well as the amount you wish to transfer in "amount" in the "From" and "To" categories.
In my example, I selected ETH on Ethereum to transfer it to Polygon, on the same wallet.
This is how it works:
Then below, you have the details of your transaction, what we call the route.
In our example, it will offer you several routes to get there.
The route via wormhole is the one we recommend to maximise your chances of getting an airdrop. You will, however, have to carry out 2 transactions.
Using xLabs in a single transaction.
Using the second option, you can obtain corners of the destination network if you don't have enough. The bridge will then take in your transfer, you pay.
And finally, a preview section, to see how much we'll receive with fees deducted.
Don't forget to check all the information on your transfer so you don't forget anything.
Then we can click "approve and proceed with transaction.
You will then pay the transaction fee.
When the transfer has been initiated, you will arrive on this page.
Wait a few moments for the transaction confirmations (2/64 Confirmations).
You will then see a claim button to claim your tokens on the destination blockchain, from which you will have to pay a few fees to recover them.
You will then receive special Wormhole tokens that you will therefore have to swap if you wish into the token you want.
